...Continued from yesterday
If you look at that story in Mark 4 again you will find hidden
therein the template for us to employ in accessing our next levels, whatever
that may be to you.
1. Be still. Stay calm. Refuse to panic or be agitated. Avoid
running helter-skelter complaining to everyone who has ears to listen. Cut out
the drama!
In V. 38 the Bible records that Jesus was asleep on a pillow in
a storm-tossed ship that was taking in water! How's that for defiance of the
devil!
You will not be able to receive help from God until you exercise
quiet confidence in His ability to help you.
Psalms 46:10
10 Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the
heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.
By refusing to be troubled you communicate to the devil that he
is not in charge of your life and you also communicate to God that you trust
Him implicitly. So exhibit quiet confidence in God to bring you out of that
situation by refusing to be agitated or jittery.
Isaiah 30:15
15 For thus saith the Lord God, the Holy One of Israel; In
returning and rest shall ye be saved; in quietness and in confidence shall be
your strength: and ye would not.
Don't forget that one of the major ways by which God
brings us a change of experience positively is by His divine guidance and
leading. In our times of seeming confusion, we need God's light of direction
more than ever before. And you know what? It is impossible to perceive God's
leading when we are agitated and not at peace! Impossible.
So it is important to find a place of peace and serenity in your
heart, in the midst of the din!
2. Arise!
That's what Jesus did in verse 39a.
Get up in the midst of that storm. Refuse to bow down and give
in. Don't accept any verdict as final if it is contrary to what you want and
what God says about you. Stand up strong and in faith in your spirit. Refuse to
settle for rubbish from hell. In your spirit man, stand up to the devil by
faith in the God who is backing you up. The greater One lives in you,
remember?
Just like little David stood up against the giant Goliath in 1
Kings 17 and defeated him against all odds, you too refuse to shift ground in
defeat no matter how fierce the storm. Victory is sure for you. Stand tall in
audacious faith and watch God back you up!
3. In the same verse 39 Jesus 'rebuked the wind and said.....'
This is so very powerful!
When the storms of life come raging, Rebuke the wind; in
other words challenge your challenger! Not only that, say ONLY what you
want to see! Do not give in to the temptation of declaring the obvious. Instead
declare what you would like to see.
Challenge that situation by confronting it headlong in prayer,
saying what you want to see only.
Thank God for the blessing of praying to God, but thank God too
that there is a place for addressing the mountains that confront us directly.
That's what the bible says in
Mark 11:23
23 For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this
mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt
in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to
pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.
God expects us to make use of the power He has made available to
us in Christ when we are faced with troubles. Rather than crying to Him like
helpless children, we need to take authority over everything that is standing
in our path of victory, while reiterating our faith in God and giving Him
thanks in prayer.
So go on. Say to the mountains on your way what you want. Rebuke
the devil and all his manifestations in and around your life.
Your next level is sure.
You go for it by all means.
Move up!
Wow! This is worth the readership. Thanks alot mummy for always being a blessing. I appreciate. MORE grace!
