GOD IS ALWAYS WORKING

"God is working, He's still working
God is working even now
Though we often don't know just how
God is working, He's still working
God is working even now."

DISCOVERING AND CULTIVATING OUR CHILDREN'S POTENTIALS

Every child comes into this world with latent God-given abilities and giftings.
All our children have potential for greatness.
According to Psalm 127:4 it is our responsibility to provide our children with the necessary guidance in order for them to follow the right direction towards fulfilling their potentials.
Truth be told, this task requires great concentration, wisdom, insight, sensitivity, faith and loads of time.
Children's potentials are simply limitless; so we need to begin to see them as potential achievers.
This was what Jochebed the mother of Moses did. Hebrews 11:23.
She saw that the child was a 'beautiful', and 'proper' child. Guess how old Moses was at this time? Just about three months old!
This means that what Jochebed saw was not just the child's physical beauty but his potential!

"TRADITIONAL MARRIAGE" VS 'WHITE WEDDING'

There is a major misunderstanding among single Christians regarding getting married traditionally and getting married in church.
The major confusion centers around whether a couple can start living together as husband and wife after they have been traditionally married. This came about mostly because of two main reasons:
i. In many cultures, once a girl has been married traditionally, her family and the man's expect her to move in with the man because in their eyes marriage has been contracted and is final.
ii. For Christians, they also desire to have a so-called 'white wedding' in church with all the trappings thereof- wedding gowns and suits, bridal train, wedding reception and so forth.
Owing however to the fact that the TM usually gulps a lot of money, many couples claim that they cannot afford the 'WW' immediately, as they require time to gather enough funds to take on the 'WW'. And so in the interim they start living together as husband and wife and some of them actually go ahead and have a 'WW' after some months or even years.

YOUR NEXT LEVEL Pt 2

...Continued from yesterday

If you look at that story in Mark 4 again you will find hidden therein the template for us to employ in accessing our next levels, whatever that may be to you.
1. Be still. Stay calm. Refuse to panic or be agitated. Avoid running helter-skelter complaining to everyone who has ears to listen. Cut out the drama!
In V. 38 the Bible records that Jesus was asleep on a pillow in a storm-tossed ship that was taking in water! How's that for defiance of the devil!
You will not be able to receive help from God until you exercise quiet confidence in His ability to help you.

YOUR NEXT LEVEL

What's up?
What's happening?
So much pressure lately
Temptations, struggles within and without
Questions. Doubts.
Almost like climbing a hill backwards...
Hazy, fuzzy thoughts.....

THE PURPOSE OF SINGLENESS

1. As we all know, God does nothing without a purpose (end result) in mind Eccl. 3:1
To be single means to be whole, unique, separate, have something to offer and complete ALL BY YOURSELF!
So singleness is only a PHASE.
The truth is this: Every phase has a duration, plus its glory and it's beauty. Every phase!
In Phil. 4: 11&12 Paul says "Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content."
You need to embrace this perspective of being happy and content in your state of singleness while working towards the next phase which is married life.
